Celebrating Global Handwashing Day in Tendelti
As part of the Global Handwashing Day activities, SOS Sahel Sudan—through its Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) project—organized a vibrant celebration in Tendelti locality on October 15th and 16th. The event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (Health Promotion Department), the Kul Al-Khair Foundation, and with generous support from Norwegian Church Aid.
Under the theme “Clean Hands for All, Within Everyone’s Reach,” the celebration brought together representatives from the Tendelti Health Department, the Education Directorate, the Head of Basic Education, and the Zakat Office.
🎭 The event featured:
- Engaging drama and theater performances
- Awareness lectures on the importance of handwashing with soap and water
- Interactive sessions with school students
- Distribution of prizes and the signing of a Handwashing Pledge Charter
The enthusiasm and participation from students, teachers, and attendees were truly inspiring—highlighting the power of community-driven health promotion.
