Integrated Humanitarian Response for IDPs, Returnees, and Host Communities – Funded by CAFOD – Darelsalam Locality, NDS

Hygiene Promotion Training for 50 Community Hygiene Promoters:

SOS Sahel Sudan successfully delivered a Hygiene Promotion Training Workshop in Dar El Salam town, targeting 50 community hygiene promoters (25 male and 25 female) including both IDPs and host community. The training is aimed at strengthening community‑level hygiene practices and enhance awareness.

Participants were equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to support their communities in reducing health risks and promoting positive hygiene behaviours, particularly in areas affected by displacement and limited access to basic services.

This training demonstrates SOS Sahel Sudan commitment to:

  • Improving public health outcomes
  • Empowering community volunteers
  • Supporting crisis‑affected populations through coordinated humanitarian interventions

By building local capacity, SOS Sahel continues to contribute to a healthier and more resilient community in North Darfur.
