Integrated Multisectoral Food Crisis Response for At-Risk Communities Project in Sharg El Nile and Bahri, Khartoum State
In a spirit of collaboration and resilience, Eng. Elhadi Yahya Adam, SOS Sahel Sudan Area Manager – Khartoum State had a meeting with Mr. Murtada Yaqoub Banga, Executive Director of Sharg El Nile Locality. The meeting attended by Ms. Raqiya El-Mahi, Assistant Director General for Agricultural Affairs and Extension at the Ministry of Agriculture – Khartoum State, Dr. Maria Osman Ismail, Ministry Coordinator for Voluntary and Humanitarian Organizations, and Ms. Aida Issa Mudathir, Director of Agricultural and Livestock Affairs – Sharg El Nile Locality.
The meeting discussed revitalizing agricultural and livestock development in the areas affected by conflict, with a shared commitment to restoring economic growth and ensuring improved food security for local communities.
🤝 As part of this partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SOS Sahel Sudan and the Ministry of Agriculture – Khartoum State. The agreement includes:
- Provide agricultural inputs (seeds and tools) to 1800 hhs based on the season (rainy or winter)
- Provide training for Model Farmers on Advanced Agricultural Techniques to 200 farmers
- Procurement of poultry inputs to 100 hhs
- Provide poultry Husbandry Training to 100 participants from the
Mr. Banga valued SOS Sahel Sudan’s leadership in development and humanitarian interventions, affirming his full support for initiatives that enhance agricultural productivity and uplift rural women through sustainable development.
Together, we are planting seeds of hope and rebuilding livelihoods across Sudan
