Distribution of 100 Dignity Kits for Women of Reproductive Age in Dar El Salam Town
SDN-PCJR5 – Sudan Protracted Crisis Join Response 5 Project in NDS, Darelsalam locality
During the current Sept, SOS Sahel Sudan, under the North Darfur Program and with close coordination with the target community, has successfully distributed 100 Dignity Kits to women of reproductive age in Dar El‑Salam City. This intervention is part of the ongoing humanitarian support provided to conflict‑affected communities and is generously funded by CAFOD.
Outputs of the Distribution hygiene kits:
- Essential hygiene kits provided (Adult vulnerable women in displacement settings received dignity kits containing soap, sanitary pads, underwear, and other basic hygiene items)
- Health and protection improved (Beneficiaries reported enhanced ability to maintain personal hygiene, dignity and reducing exposure to WASH‑related diseases)
- Community resilience strengthened (Access to hygiene items reduced dependency on negative coping mechanisms)
This initiative reflects SOS Sahel Sudan’s continued commitment to supporting IDPs, refugees, and host communities across North Darfur through integrated humanitarian responses that prioritize dignity, protection, and community empowerment.
