What We Do

At SOS Sahel, we are committed to promoting sustainable development and building peaceful and prosperous communities in Sudan. We work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to address the root causes of poverty, conflict, and environmental degradation.
Our programs are designed to support communities in addressing their most pressing challenges, from food insecurity and water scarcity to conflict resolution and peacebuilding. We take a holistic approach to development, recognizing the interconnectedness of social, economic, and environmental factors.
Some of our key program areas include:
Agriculture and Food Security: We work with farmers and rural communities to improve agricultural productivity, promote sustainable land use, and increase food security.
Natural Resource Management: We support communities in managing their natural resources, including water, forests, and wildlife, in a sustainable and equitable manner.
Youth Empowerment: We provide training and support to young people to develop their leadership skills, engage in dialogue and mediation, and participate in decision-making processes.
Through our work, we strive to build resilient communities that are able to withstand environmental and social shocks, and to promote sustainable development that benefits both current and future generations. Join us in our mission to build a more peaceful and prosperous Sudan.
